Cake smash photoshoots
Cake Smash photoshoots bring out the fun and inquisitive nature of your child. It is a fantastic celebration photo shoot for birthdays or significant moments. They are hilarious and such a treat to capture. With a variety of themes and colours to include, it can be truly tailored to bring out aspects of your child’s personality.
We work with local suppliers, Little Blue Cakes, Balloons By Reds and Plumtree Designs and have many different package options available.

For cake smash, Kt’s Photography recommended that a consultation (via appointment, email or telephone call) is made prior to the photoshoot. This consultation can confirm choices of colour so that the backdrop, cake colour, clothing, bunting and desired props colour coordinate.

Making your own:
The cake needs to be a different colour to the agreed back drop colour and props. It needs to be buttercream, not fondant icing. The more icing the better! ☺

Kt’s Photography has a range of accessories including large numbers and stools and chairs We also can provide coloured pom-poms (at an additional charge of £4.99, which will need to be ordered beforehand).
Kt’s Photography also stocks a wide range of different coloured bunting, including “Happy Birthday” bunting all readily available to use at no charge.
What to bring?

As you would expect, it can get messy. Parents may get messy too! Please wear appropriate clothing! ☺
What to expect?
When you come in, the cake will be put down and the child can interact with it. If the child is not engaging, we encourage and stage shots, placing hands/legs into the cake.
At an additional charge, if you would like you child to have a ”bath tub” clean up shot this can be arranged. Please see the examples below.
